With over 10 years of experience, Cascais Waveriders surfschool has the best equipment on the market, with the latest technology, design and materials. Our Surfschool is Certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and our surf instructors have a postgraduate degree in Surf training.
With a prime location just 5 minutes walking from the famous Carcavelos beach, know for its amazing waves and tubes, we have in our site great conditions to receive our clients, with a beautiful garden, outside shower, and secure locker rooms.
We do Rentals, Repairs and we also have a Surfshop with top of the gear Equipment with everything you need to go surfing!

Manager at Cascais Wave Riders Surfschool, Level 1 Surf Instructor accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, more than 5 years of experience as an instructor and 20 years of surfing. Avid Surfer, Bodyboarder, SUP and Kitesurfer with a passion for water sports, Making sure everyone has fun is Rapha’s main focus and providing and great experience that only surfing offers by creating that unique bond between man and the ocean.
Rapha speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.
Henrique
Head Coach Escola Cascais Wave Riders, Level 1 Surf Instructor accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, more than 5 years of experience as an instructor and 20 years of surfing. Born in Oeiras and a local surfer from Carcavelos from a young age. Sportsman with a very active life. Practices Surf, Bodyboard, SUP, kayaking, rowing, swimming and triathlon. Henrique has several diving courses, accredited by the international association (PADI) including the rescue diver diploma. He has first aid training, obtained through the international course of resuscitation and first aid. He has a special taste for teaching and a very pedagogical nature, having been an English teacher in the 1st cycle. It is in the water environment that he feels good and hence the passion for all water sports. Another of his passions is traveling. He has traveled all over the continents and lived in France for several years. As an unconditional fan of our country, he is very pleased to receive foreign customers and provide them with a unique experience, with a little history and curiosities of our culture. Enthusiasm and good mood are the characteristics that best define Henrique. Fluent in English, Spanish and French.
